INDIANAPOLIS—The Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers released its new SP-912 Description of Standard Reference Recipe for Exhaust Gas Condensate.
The publication, drafted and approved by the member representatives of the ARPM Sealing Products Dynamic Technical Committee, includes new standards for exhaust gas condensate to be used in research and development, said F. Joseph Walker, chair of the ARPM Sealing Committee.
SP-912 currently is the only industry standard that establishes a common recipe for EGC, which will help lower the cost of research and development expenses, Walker said in an ARPM release.
The General Products Group of the ARPM acknowledge the following member companies for their contributions to the publication: 3M Advanced Materials Division; AGC Chemicals Americas; Fiat Chrysler; Federal-Mogul Corp., Sealing Systems Group; Ford Motor Co.; Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies; Grace Technology and Development; SKF Sealing Solutions; Solvay Solexis; The Chemours Company L.L.C.; Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Americas; Trostel Ltd.; Zeon Chemicals L.P.
All ARPM technical standards are reviewed every five years to establish if a revision is required to keep it current. The SP-912 Description of Standard Reference Recipe for Exhaust Gas Condensate and other technical standards are available on the ARPM website.
