SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—Guyson Corp. has introduced a new machine for grit blasting of medical implant devices.
The Dual Expanded Two-Station RXS-44 System is designed to have a small footprint and offers simultaneous operation, while reducing noise and controlling media egress, according to the firm.
To reduce media egress, Guyson said it designed the precision machine with a Model 75/12 Cyclone that constantly draws all spent and reusable media and air from the finishing chamber. This continuous cleaning feature helps to ensure efficient operation, Guyson claims.
"Once in the Cyclone body, the reusable media is centrifugally separated from the fractured media and debris, which is removed from the system by the dust collector. The reusable media remains in the system and is recirculated through the gun," Guyson said.
