HOUSTON—The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers will honor Bruno Pary with the General Award, one of its highest honors.
Pary, who retired from ExxonMobil, will be presented with the award at IISRP's 59th Annual General Meeting, the week of May 7 in Madrid.
Pary, who worked for 35 years in the synthetic rubber industry, is a chemical engineer and a promoter of the industry's growth and development, the IISRP said.
Pary has been an active member of the IISRP as a European director and international president in 2010. In this position, he coordinated the first Global Rubber Forum in the Middle East, in Dubai. Pary was a major contributor to the IISRP's Strategic Direction in planning for 2012 and 2013, and served on the executive committee.
After his retirement, he continued his IISRP contribution as a speaker at the 55th Annual General Meeting in Kyoto. He currently is International fellow of the University of Akron Research Foundation.
"It will be a great honor for me to present this award to an outstanding contributor to the synthetic rubber industry and valuable supporter of the IISRP," Juan Ramon Salinas, managing director and CEO of the IISRP, said in a statement.
