DES PLAINES, Ill.—Rahco Rubber Inc., a precision polymer molder, hired Shawn Durbin as its new director of manufacturing.
Durbin comes to Rahco after 1.5 years as the European engineering manager for Enbi Inc., responsible for its operations in Germany and Hungary.
Before that, he spent four years with Trostel as its director of molding operations, where he successfully implemented a data-driven Metrix System, developed an overall equipment effectiveness/tooling action plan and was responsible for the staff of more than 250 employees at Trostel's Reynosa, Mexico location.
"Shawn comes to us with 25 years of hands-on technical rubber molding and processing experience, and an extensive lean manufacturing skillset as well as excellent operational leadership qualities," said Jack Anton, vice president of sales and marketing for Rahco in a company release.
Durbin has also worked for SKF A.B. as its technical liaison and channel manager, at Flexan L.L.C. as an engineering manager responsible for tool design and process improvement and for Lavelle Industries Inc. as a process engineer.
