DANBURY, Conn.—Addivant, a supplier of phosphite antioxidants for plastics, expanded production capacity by more than 40 percent for its polymer antioxidant Ultranox 626 at its Morgantown, W. Va., facility.
Addivant also is pursuing the extension of global food contact approvals for Ultranox 626, allowing for broader use in food packaging, according to a company release. Ultranox 626 is an organophosphite antioxidants used in a variety of polymers, including polyolefins, elastomers and engineering plastics.
Earlier this year, Addivant completed its three-fold expansion of its polyethylene and elastomer food-contact antioxidant Weston 705.
