LAS VEGAS—The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries has opened registration for the ISRI 2018 Convention and Exposition (ISRI2018), scheduled for April 14-19 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The annual ISRI convention and exposition is the world's largest annual gathering of scrap recycling professionals, according to the institute. ISRI2018 is designed to provide scrap recyclers from around the world with the educational and networking opportunities, product showcases and industry news they need to maximize their time and return on investment, it said.
Carlos Gutierrez, a board member of Time Warner and secretary of commerce under President George W. Bush, will be the keynote speaker, ISRI said.
ISRI2018 will feature workshops on such topics as international trade, human resources compliance, business valuations and commodity-specific areas, according to the institute.
The popular "Spotlight" series, offering up-to-date market analysis of different recycling sectors, will be featured again at ISRI2018, ISRI said. Tires, paper, aluminum, copper and ferrous metals will be among the spotlighted recycling industries, it said.
