CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Magog, Quebec-based Camso Inc. introduced a new generation of construction and forklift tires, along with a new technique of selling forklift tires, during a week-long rollout in Charlotte.
Camso, which advertises itself as the "Road-Free Company," invited customers, dealers and media to Charlotte to preview its new line of commercial tires, material handling tires and tracks in a program that included test drives of construction equipment and forklifts equipped with Camso products.
"In engineering our products, we design across a very specific set of needs not addressed by other manufacturers," said Lysandre M.-Verrault, external communications and global marketing advisor for Camso. "We provide the right solution for every application."
Camso concentrates 100 percent of its efforts on 11 percent of the tire market, according to Verrault. But because of that concentration, the company has 23 manufacturing plants, three research and development centers and 7,500 employees around the world, she said.
