MUNICH—Matthias Sieverding took over the management of the extrusion segment at KraussMaffei Group, the machinery supplier said in a statement released Aug. 23.
The 47-year old engineer has spent nearly 20 years with KraussMaffei and will replace Peter Roos who is leaving the company.
"Matthias Sieverding knows our customers and our company very well…We are convinced that with him leading the extrusion segment he will strongly support our growth strategy, thus helping us gain additional market share," said Frank Stieler, CEO of KraussMaffei Group.
Sieverding has a mechanical engineering degree and has worked in various capacities for KraussMaffei. In 2010 he took over the management of the extrusion segment in the U.S. where he developed the business' growth in the region.
