TRELLEBORG, Sweden—Trelleborg Sealing Solutions plans to invest $14.7 million to build a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility near its current plant in Helsingor, Denmark.
Start-up is scheduled for the beginning of 2020, parent company Trelleborg A.B. said without disclosing the specific location of the new production facility.
The investment is intended to transform and expand its current capabilities with advanced manufacturing systems and technologies that enhance profitable sales growth.
"The new production facility will be dedicated to highly automated and lean production lines for the automotive, aerospace and renewable energy industries, contributing to better business and higher technical customer support," Claus Barsoe, president of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, said in a statement.
The investment is part of a strategy targeting "attractive" market segments, Trelleborg said, noting the Danish operation is "one of the most important globally" for the sealing products unit.
