HUDSON, Ohio—Alttran Inc., a specialty elastomer compounding and development company, plans to expand its compound development and QC laboratory with new MonTech testing equipment that will be installed in October.
The new phase of development will include moving die rheometers, Mooney viscometers and software necessary to analyze data.
Alttran's last major lab expansion began in 2015 with the purchase of a MonTech rubber process analyser (RPA 3000).
"The MonTech RPA has been a great addition to our lab capabilities," Dave Topliff, owner and president of Alttran, said in a statement. "…As Alttran drives continuous improvement of our mixing process, we need the best tools to measure quality and product performance. The new MonTech MDR machines will help us better identify sources of variation in our process."
MonTech, a rubber testing instrument supplier serving North America, has offices in Columbia City, Ind., and Charlotte, N.C.
