What inspired you to pursue a career in the rubber industry?
Innovation was my main inspiration for pursuing a career in the rubber industry. I love the idea of creating new things. Through working in R.D. Abbott's lab, it's something I get to do almost every day.
What accomplishment are you most proud of so far and why?
I am extremely proud of being a co-author on a paper published by the ACS in 2016 titled "In-Mold Bonding of Fluorosilicone Onto Thermoplastic Substrates." The research continues today and I look forward to becoming an expert on the subject someday.
How did your company sell the rubber industry to you during the recruiting/hiring process?
R.D. Abbott gave me the opportunity to work in the field as I was going to school. They worked around my school schedule and have been very helpful through the entire process of finishing my degree in chemistry.
