AKRON—The International Latex Conference, jointly organized by Akron Dispersions and Rubber & Plastics News, returns August 8-9.
Conference Chairman Jim Finn has organized a 19-session schedule that covers innovations in both natural and synthetic latex, trends in feedstock and the Chinese rubber chemical market. Presentations focus on topics such as curing, extractables, pH. The applications for latex in asphalt and in drilling fluids also will be discussed.
Networking opportunities will remain an integral part of the International Latex Conference as well. Attendees will have the chance to mingle during the RCMA Group's regular refreshment breaks and also during lunch, which is provided by CentroTrade.
The conference also features a networking reception, sponsored by Tiarco Chemical.
In 2015 Finn introduced a "Jeopardy"-style latex quiz that proved so popular it's returning to the schedule. Also returning is one of the highlights of the conference each year, Akron Dispersions' Casino Night. This event enables conference attendees, speakers and exhibitors to gather for an evening of gaming and prizes.
The conference is ideal for high level management and technical people in both the manufacturing and supply sides of the latex industry. Registration is open, with Early Bird Savings ending on July 10.
A full conference agenda, registration and other information is available at the conference's website.
