INDIANAPOLIS—The Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers named more industry speakers and presentation topics to be included in the 2017 Environmental Health and Safety Summit, July 19-20 in Columbus, Ohio.
The newly named speakers include: Kevin Margolis of Benesch law firm; Rob Medlock, vice president of SCT Inc.; Ki Miles of Zeon Chemicals L.P.; Robert Nicholson, senior electrical designer and arc flash specialist of Steptoe and Johnson L.L.C.; Jennifer Sommers, certified drug and alcohol tester of Steptoe and Johnson L.L.C.; and William Wahoff of Steptoe and Johnson L.L.C.
Newly introduced topics include: New OSHA revisions, interpreting environmental laws REACH and Prop 65, new TCSA reform, attitude-based safety culture, air permitting and lock-out, tag-out.
The speakers join previously announced speakers Fred Rine of FDR Safety L.L.C. and Todd Grover of Master Lock Co.
This year's summit also will include round table discussions, where attendees can meet other individuals in similar roles and responsibilities.
The summit also will include the presentation of the 2017 ARPM Safety Awards, designed to recognize companies in the rubber manufacturing industry that have achieved world-class safety techniques that go above and beyond the average regulations. The awards will be given based on information collected on OSHA 300's log of work-related injuries and illness.
