NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Bridgestone Corp.'s commitment to the environment means finding a balance between operations and nature, according to Jim DeMouy, vice president of environmental, health, safety and sustainability for Bridgestone Americas, Inc.
He discussed the company's contributions at the Environmental Leader Conference in Denver, June 9, during a panel discussion titled, "The Path Forward for Environmental and Energy Management: New solutions in a swiftly changing corporate landscape."
During the panel discussion, DeMouy and other senior-level executives from Xerox and Walmart addressed both the challenges their industries face and the opportunities for growth and improvement for environmental and energy management as the corporate landscape evolves.
In March, Bridgestone announced a refined global corporate social responsibility commitment called "Our Way to Serve," centered around the areas of mobility, people and environment.
"Our Way to Serve will further Bridgestone's contributions to creating a sustainable society by balancing our operations with nature and improving energy management and greenhouse gas reduction from our operations and products," DeMouy said.
At the conference, Business Sector Media also recognized DeMouy for his environmental expertise, naming him one of the top 50 environmental leaders of 2016.
