TROY, Mich.—There still is time to register for the Rubber In Automotive conference to be held June 13-14 at the Detroit Marriott Troy.
Organized jointly by Rubber & Plastics News and Freudenberg-NOK, the conference focuses on the theme "Benchmarking Today, Driving Tomorrow."
Conference Chairman Joseph Walker of Freudenberg-NOK's Sealing Technologies business said the objective of the conference is to provide attendees with access to market-driven information and exposure to emerging technologies that will shape the rubber components industry in the months to come.
The automotive industry is recognized as a large market segment, and for the rubber component manufacturer it is often the major market for products.
Attendees at this conference will get the latest economic outlooks, along with informed projections for the automotive segment. The keynote speakers John McElroy, host of "AutoLine Daily" and David Cole of Auto Harvest are among the industry's most recognized veterans. Each will provide insight into the road ahead.
Also on the agenda are Chris Kuehl of Armada Corporate Intelligence and Bill Hyde of IHS Chemicals, both of whom will aid in projections of future economic trends and raw material costs.
The program also includes presentations on advanced polymers and smart materials; risk mitigation through advanced modeling and advanced manufacturing systems; and quality measurement advances. There will be discussions on sustainability and emerging lubricant technologies as well.
The event also will include exhibitors, lunch the first day, and a networking reception the first night.
