VIENNA—Martin Fuellenbach has started his role as chairman of the management board (CEO) of Semperit A.G. Holding as of 1 June.
The new-look management board also includes Chief Financial Officer Frank Gumbinger and Michele Melchiorre, who is chief operating officer.
Prior to joining Semperit, Füuellenbach was CEO of Oerlikon Leybold Vakuum in Cologne and a member of the group management board of OC Oerlikon in Switzerland.
Commenting on his role at Semperit, the new CEO said he was "particularly fascinated" by the company's roots, which go back almost 200 years.
"I am looking forward to contributing my experience to the company and thus to successfully continue to develop such a famous and traditional company in cooperation with my colleagues in a currently challenging market and company situation," Fuellenbach added.
As chairman of the management board, Fuellenbach is responsible for the medical and industrial sectors as well as communications, compliance, corporate development and strategy, and human resources.
