ULVILA, Finland—Cimcorp Oy has applied to buy land beside its headquarters site in Ulvila with the aim of expanding its facilities, a direct response to the firm's continuing growth.
Cimcorp sales were up 35 percent in 2016 and have doubled in the past four years. During this time, the firm also increased its workforce by around a third.
"We are considering extending our facilities, because the existing premises have become too small. At the moment we are also operating in several rented premises," said Marjo Rimpelao, vice president, finance and administration.
The Finnish company is eyeing 91,525 square feet of land for the possible expansion and has petitioned the City of Ulvila for its purchase. In a press release, Cimcorp said it would add 36,608 square feet to its facilities, bringing the total floor space to 205,604 square feet.
There has been no timetable established for the expansion.
The manufacturer and integrator of turnkey robotic gantry-based order fulfillment and tire-handling solutions, operates in three other locations in Finland and has subsidiaries in the U.S. and Canada.
