CERRITOS, Calif.—R.D. Abbott Co. will host three Rubber Division courses in May.
The first, "Understanding Raw Materials, the Building Blocks of Rubber Compounding," will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on May 16. The course will provide an overview of the raw material supply chain, explaining why these rubber chemicals are used and what comparative advantages they provide the rubber industry. Cost to register is $640 for members, $785 for non-members and $215 for student members.
The second, "Compounding for Performance," will be held May 17 and 18 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The two-day session is designed for both entry-level and veteran rubber technologists and will provide an overview of rubber compoudning for product performance. Cost to register is $1,160 for members, $1,305 for non-members and $310 for student members.
Finally, on May 19 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. the firm will host "Solving Problems in Rubber Compounding and Processing." The course will take an in-depth look at processing problems in mixing, extrusion, calendering and molding. Cost to register is $640 for members, $785 for non-members and $215 for student members.
