WASHINGTON—The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries has unveiled a new International Scrap Trade Database that provides information on international scrap trade flows.
The website has data tables that illustrate recyclables trade across the globe by major commodity and importing/exporting economies, ISRI said. The tables also show the total amount of scrap traded globally, it said.
ISRI released the database in time for its annual convention and exposition, held April 22-27 in New Orleans.
The initial figures on the website represent ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics and paper, according to ISRI. Tables for other recyclables, including rubber, are in development, it said.
The database can be found at www.isri.org.
As an added benefit, ISRI members can request custom trade reports by commodity, trading partner, volume and dollar value by contacting ISRI Research Analyst Bernie Lee at [email protected].
