WEST CONSHOHOKEN, Pa.—The MidAtlantic Rubber & Plastic Group will host its Spring Technical Meeting May 11 at the ASTM International World Headquarters in West Conshohoken, Pa.
The program "Collaborative Testing of Rubber, Plastic & Their Blends" includes a presentation by Alyson Fick, ASTM manager of international technical committee operations. She will kick off the event at 2:30 p.m. with an overview of ASTM.
Other presenters include Mehdi Emad, technical marketing/business development engineer for Solvay Specialty Polymers, who will present "Perfluorinated Polymers with improved Thermal Performance"; and Herman Suwardie, manager characterization laboratory, at Polymer Processing Institute, will present "Mechanical characterization of polymer, rubber and their composite using DMA."
Paula McDaniel of Intertek in Allentown, Pa., will close the program with her presentation titled "Testing for VOC's-When/How to use the standard."
