NASHVILLE, Tenn.—The seventh Scrap to Profit Conference has been scheduled for Oct. 25-26 at the Inn at Opryland Hotel in Nashville. This event will focus on innovation to drive new and improved scrap tire markets.
Sponsors of the event include the Rubber Manufacturers Association, the Scrap Tire Research and Education Foundation and the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation's Office of Sustainable Practices and Division of Solid Waste.
Topics at the conference will be non-commercial and include discussions of tire-derived fuel, civil engineering and ground rubber markets, according to an RMA press release.
Other discussions at the conference will include research and innovation needs for new markets, recent innovations in scrap tire uses, and updates pyrolysis and gasification technologies.
The Scrap Tire Work Group will meet the day before the conference to discuss overall progress in U.S. state scrap tire markets and programs.
