VIENNA—Semperit A.G. Holding has nominated Martin Fuellenbach as its new CEO to replace the outgoing Thomas Fahnemann.
In a March 27 news release, the Austrian company noted that the supervisory board will approve Fuellenbach's three-year term, effect June 1 to Dec. 31, during its April 26 meeting.
Fuellenbach served as CEO of Oerlikon Leybold Vakuum in Cologne since 2012 and has been a member of the management board of OC Oerlikon A.G. in Pfaeffikon, Switzerland, since 2014.
"We are confident that the Semperit Group will strongly benefit from his [Fuellenbach's] know-how and his experience, particularly in realigning companies as well as building and developing new business areas," Semperit Chairman Veit Sorger said.
Fahnemann announced March 15 that he was stepping down from his position following a transaction to terminate the group's joint venture with Sri Trang of Thailand.
