SEOUL, South Korea—Kraiburg TPE has opened a new sales office in Seoul "to accommodate rapid growth" in the market, the thermoplastic elastomers supplier said in a March 22 news release.
The office was opened in the South Korean capital in January 2017 as the company looked to meet what it called "escalating demand for premium TPE products in the Asia Pacific region."
The Asia Pacific region is one of the largest market for TPEs, the company added.
Kraiburg TPE Korea will focus on the key sectors, namely automotive, consumer, medical and industry. This is Kraiburg TPE's fifth local representation in the region, after Kuala Lumpur, Bangalore, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
TaeYun Kim has been appointed the new country manager and will help to oversee these efforts.
"The new facilities in Korea underline the international strategy of Kraiburg TPE to support local markets and services," said Roland Ritter, director Asia Pacific.
