MISSISSAUGA, Ontario—The Tire and Rubber Association of Canada will hold its 2017 Tire & Rubber Summit June 19-20 in King City, Ontario, a northern Toronto suburb.
Among the topics on the agenda is an outlook on rubber materials. This will include a panel discussion featuring speakers from the U.S, Europe and Canada looking at challenges and trends affecting the supply and demand of natural and synthetic rubber, carbon black, rubber chemicals and steel used in rubber manufacturing.
The automotive outlook will examine regulatory and policy initiatives affecting the Canadian rubber industry, including discussion of the federal government's trade agreements, Ontario's cap-and-trade initiative and the government's initiative to introduce producer responsibility mechanisms.
There will also be an assessment of the tire industry with a panel discussion.
TRAC has not specified who will serve on the panels.
The summit will take place at the Kingbridge Hotel and Conference Centre in King City and additional information is available from on the TRAC website.
