JOHANNESBURG—Era Polymers Pty. Ltd. is forming a partnership with South Africa's Diverse Urethanes. The new business, Era Polymers (Africa), builds on the long-standing relationship between the two companies.
Diverse Urethanes develops, manufactures and supplies formulated polyurethane systems that are tailored to local market requirements. The portfolio includes polyurethane elastomers, rigid and flexible polyurethane foam systems and polyurethane construction chemicals.
The new business will be run by Diverse's Alf De Vincentiis, and based in Johannesburg. Some of its product range will be manufactured in South Africa, and it will give the local business increased access to global research and development capabilities.
Era Polymers, which is Australian owned and operated, has been manufacturing polyurethanes for more than three decades. It supplies to 76 countries around the world with products from its four manufacturing sites in Sydney, Melbourne, Australia, and Auckland, New Zealand.
It also operates a R&D center in Sydney.
