MISSISSAUGA, Ontario—The Tire and Rubber Association of Canada will hold its 2017 Tire & Rubber Summit June 19-20 in King City, Ontario, a northern Toronto suburb.
Among the topics on the agenda are:
• Rubber materials outlook, a panel discussion featuring speakers from the U.S, Europe and Canada looking at challenges and trends affecting the supply and demand of natural and synthetic rubber, carbon black, rubber chemicals and steel used in rubber manufacturing;.
• Automotive outlook;
• Regulatory and policy initiatives affecting the Canadian rubber Industry, including discussion of the federal government's trade agreements, Ontario's cap-and-trade initiative and the government's initiative to introduce producer responsibility mechanisms; and
• Tire industry outlook, a panel discussion;
TRAC did not disclose at this time any of the speakers' identities.
The summit will take place at the Kingbridge Hotel and Conference Center in King City.
