CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.—Edge Rubber L.L.C. has installed a new cracker mill production line, doubling its ambient materials capacity to 72 million pounds annually.
Edge Rubber installed the cracker mill line to meet growing demand from several of Edge Rubber's long-standing customers, the company said in a Feb. 27 press release.
The new capacity also will support new business and improve production costs through scale, the company said.
Edge Rubber reopened in November 2016 after being purchased by Sam Kauffman, the company's former vice president and chief operating officer, and Washington, D.C.-based investment firm Anzu Partners.
"We've been so encouraged by the reception from our community and our industry the past few months," Kauffman said in the press release. "We're very excited to see the new line up and running."
