RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.—Giti Tire (USA) Ltd. will increase the prices of its GT Radial and other brand tires by up to 9 percent in the U.S. and Canada.
The price increase takes effect April 1 and will impact the company's passenger, light truck and truck tire product lines. Giti said the decision was driven by escalating costs in raw materials, as well as rising energy and transportation costs associated with the production and distribution of tires.
Giti Tire Group, headquartered in Singapore, has been in the tire business since 1951. It operates eight manufacturing plants and produces a broad range of tire products, serving major original equipment vehicle manufacturers, auto service outlets, tire dealers and consumers in more than 130 countries.
Giti Tire (USA), based in Rancho Cucamonga, is the sales, marketing and distribution company for North America.
