MAGOG, Quebec—After 17 years at the helm of Camso Ltd., CEO Pierre Marcouiller is transitioning to a new role as executive chairman of the board. Former Continental A.G. executive Thomas Boettcher, who was hired in April 2016 as chief operating officer, will become president and CEO.

The changes take effect April 1.

In his new position, Marcouiller will focus on shaping the company's long-term vision and growth opportunities. In doing so, he will work to ensure a strong future of the business, Camso said, helping to define Camso's strategic orientations.

Marcouiller will take part in business reviews and special projects and will be responsible for mergers and acquisitions.

"I will continue to embrace this amazing culture with all of our employees and work jointly with our new CEO to help create the next chapters of the Camso story," Marcouiller said of his new role.

As president and CEO, Boettcher will define and guide the strategy of the company and align this with Camso operational teams, the company said.

"I take on this role with great enthusiasm and confidence, and start with a solid foundation from which we will elevate our offering to the market," Boettcher said. "We will continue providing the best products and services for the unique niche mobility needs of the off-the-road industry."

Boettcher, who held executive positions in Continental's industrial tire business for 18 years, oined the board of Camso's predecessor company, Camoplast Solideal, in 2012.

Magog-based Camso produces and distributes a range of indusrial off-road tires, wheels, rubber tracks and undercarriage systems for the materials handling, construction, agricultural and powersports industries.
