TRELLEBORG, Sweden—Trelleborg board member Jan Carlson will step down from his position at the company's next annual general meeting on April 27. According to a Jan. 31 news release, Carlson is "no longer available for re-election and will therefore resign his seat… after three years of commendable work."
His contribution, said Trelleborg, was signficiant during the company's ownership and subsequent divestment of shares in the Vibracoustic joint venture.
As Trelleborg expects to reduce the number of its board members to eight in 2017, the company will not introduce a replacement for Carlson.
The nomination committee's revised proposal from Jan. 25 suggests the following individuals as members of the board of directors: Hans Biorck, Gunilla Fransson, Johan Malmquist, Soren Mellstig, Peter Nilsson, Anne Mette Olesen, Susanne Pahlen Aklundh and Bo Risberg.
It has proposed to re-elect Soren Mellstig as chairman of the board.
