DORMAGEN, Germany—Arlanxeo Holding B.V. will raise the prices of chloroprene rubber and chloroprene adhesive grades in all regions next month in response to the overall market and costs developments.
Prices for the Asian market have increased between $300 and $400 per metric ton, as of Jan. 1 and will rise another $200 per metric ton on Feb. 1.
In North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America, prices wil incease by $550 per metric ton. The price increases are effective Feb. 1 for all regions, with the exception of North America, which will see price increases on Feb. 15.
Arlanexo, a joint venture of Lanxess and Saudi Aramco was established in April. It goes to market under the brand name of Baypren and its products are used in a variety of applications including cable sheathings, hoses, belts, air springs and adhesives.
