CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio—Emerald Kalama Chemical L.L.C. will increase prices of its Purox S sodium benzoate, Purox and Purox B benzoic acid, and K-Flex plasticizers, in an effort to offset what it calls "significant and persistent rising costs."
According to a news release issued by Emerald Kalama, prices for Purox S Sodium Benzoate will increase by $117 per metric ton in Europe and 5 cents per pound for all other regions.
The cost of Purox and Purox B Benzoic Acid will rise by $59 per metric ton in Europe and 25 cents per pound for the rest of the world.
K-FLEX plasticizers costs are set to increase as by 4 cents per pound in North America, $90 per metric ton in South America, $85 per metric ton in Europe and $96 per metric ton in Asia.
The new prices will become effective Feb. 15, or as contracts allow. Additional details about the price increases are available from account managers.
