BRUSSELS—Ansell Ltd. has announced the production of what it claims to be "the thinnest chemical resistant, single use glove available on the market today."
Microflex 93-260, Ansell said in a Jan. 11 statement, offers tough protection against a broad range of chemicals, while providing tactility of a thin, disposable glove.
The glove is 0.19mm thick and achieves protection against chemicals through a three-layer design that resists a wide range of aggressive chemicals.
The exterior of the glove is made of a nitrile layer while the middle layer is made of neoprene. The interior layer, Ansell added, will provide a continual dry feel, while also easing the donning and doffing.
The thin design and chemical resistance of the product makes it suitable for applications such as laboratory work, paint shop work, assembly and fabrication and general maintenance and repair.
