WAKEFIELD, Mass.—Alliance Tire Group B.V. is targeting the U.S. medium radial truck market with the launch of its Constellation truck tire brand.
Constellation will debut with 13 tread patterns—50 SKUs overall—providing tires for drive, steer and trailer positions as well as long-haul, regional and mixed service applications. The brand, according to John Hull, national truck tire sales manager for Alliance Tire Americas Inc. will complement the group's existing Alliance, Galaxy and Primex lines.
"Basically, we've taken the industry's best farm and OTR selection and added a great new truck brand to it," Hull said in a news release. "Constellation gives our dealers a new, highly competitive truck line to offer customers who already understand the performance and value of ATG's core brands, whether it's Alliance farm tires, Galaxy tires for skid steer and construction equipment, or Primex forestry tires."
The tires are manufactured at a DOT-certified facility in Thailand that carries ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO/TS 16949 certifications. The tires are backed by a warranty of five years or two retreads, whichever comes first.
Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. acquired ATG from global investment firm KKR & Co. L.P. $1.18 billion in July.
