ROTTERDAM, Netherlands—Specialty distributor IMCD has acquired Istanbul-based Feza Kimya to complement its existing Turkish operation.
Founded in 1959 by Saffet Bozkurt, Feza Kimya offers technical sales, marketing and distribution of specialty chemicals and instruments in Turkey, serving the rubber, coatings, plastics, lubricants and detergents sectors. In 2015 Feza Kimya generated revenue of $8.36 million with 23 employees.
"This acquisition will… provide a platform to build a local application laboratory dedicated to coatings… In addition, the acquisition expands our operations into plastics: a key market in Turkey," said Gokhan Oran, managing director IMCD Turkey.
