WHITTIER, Calif.—Michael L. Peterman has been named president and CEO of Santa Fe Rubber Products Inc.
He replaces William Krames, the long-time head of the Whittier-based rubber product maker, in both posts.
Krames, a 53-year veteran of the rubber industry, said he will continue as chairman of the company but is stepping back from overseeing the day-to-day operation of the business.
Peterman joined the firm in 1999 as its manager of business development and for the past four years has served as its general manager. He also has several years of executive management experience in strategic planning and developing performance based organizations.
His background, including an MBA from the University of California, Irvine, compliments the skill base needed for the company's management team, Krames said, and qualifies him to provide the leadership necessary for continued future growth of Santa Fe Rubber.
"Mike and his staff have demonstrated a keen ability to manage the company as we head into 2017," Krames added.
