MELKSHAM, England—Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has appointed former Apollo Vredestein marketing and sales director Jaap van Wessum as its sales director for European operations.
Van Wessum is based in Velp, Netherlands, and reports to Luis Ceneviz, managing director, Europe Tire Operations and managing director, Latin America Tire Operations.
He has 20 years of experience in tire industry, and most recently held the position of director, marketing and sales for Apollo Vredestein B.V. since 2010. Prior to that, he was Netherlands country manager for Apollo Vredestein B.V., and earlier served as the Scandinavian country manager for Vredestein Dack A.B. and Vredestein Norge A/S.
Van Wessum holds a degree in business economics with a focus on industrial marketing from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
