Safic-Alcan opens Hungarian subsidiary
PARIS—Safic-Alcan has set up a Hungarian subsidiary, Safic-Alcan Magyarorszag Kft., to service the country's industrial manufacturing sector, the French distributor announced Nov. 28.
Based near Budapest, the subsidiary will develop Safic-Alcan's business focusing on rubber and adhesives and other performance products while providing sales and technical support to the Hungarian market.
Safic-Alcan Magyarorszag will be managed by Kamil Antos, head of Safic-Alcan Cesko, a subsidiary of the Safic-Alcan Group and parent company of Safic-Alcan Magyarorszag Kft.
The company has also employed Tibor Varga, who will be responsible for performance products sales & development. He will work directly with Safic-Alcan Cesko.
Tibor has more than six years' experience at an international full-line chemical distributor in Hungary. He has a master's degree in chemistry.
“This move aligns with our overall strategy to expand in countries where high demand is forecast,” said Safic-Alcan's CEO Philippe Combette.
