DALLAS—Goodyear plans to recognize a few dozen “hard-working” Dallas/Fort Worth area residents at the Jan. 2 Goodyear Cotton Bowl football game by inviting them to be part of the pregame on-field ceremony.
Goodyear is asking fans in the Dallas/Fort Worth area—site of AT&T Stadium where the Cotton Bowl is held—to nominate a friend, family member, mentor or local community leader who demonstrates “Blimpworthy” attributes that make their neighborhood a better place.
The tire maker will accept “Your Blimpworthy Story” nominations online through Dec. 4. Sixty-two winners and their nominators will be invited to hold the U.S. flag in the Cotton Bowl's pregame ceremony; each also will receive a standing-room-only game ticket.
“Blimpworthy is all about the hard work that is required to succeed on and off the field and we are pleased to recognize some determined individuals who are delivering tangible results and benefiting their communities,” said Seth Klugherz, Goodyear's North American director of marketing.
The campaign honors those who demonstrate characteristics such as hard work, determination and grit as they work to their neighborhood a better place.
