ST. LOUIS—Accella Tire Fill Systems plans to simplify the names of its TyrFil line of polyurethane tire fill formulations beginning Dec. 1.
Its new TyrFil product lineup will include: TyrFil Flex, formerly TyrFil LD and SuperFlex, with a durometer of 10; TryFil Utility, previously called TyrFil XL, with a durometer of 20; TyrFil Pro, formerly RePneu OEM and TyrFil G2, with a durometer of 30; TyrFil Premium, previously RePneu II, with a durometer of 30; TyrFil Ultra, formerly RePneu and TyrFil MG, with a durometer of 30; and TyrFil HeviDuty, formerly Hevi Duty and TyrFil HD, with a durometer of 55.
The conversion is expected to be completed by early next year.
Accella's patented TyrFil flatproofing products have been on the market for nearly 50 years. Polyurethane tire fill can be pumped into any pneumatic tire to replace air with a resilient, synthetic elastomer core that will eliminate flat tires, the company said.
The products are used heavily in the construction, mining, material handling, waste management, military and equipment rental industries, the firm said.
