McMINNVILLE, Ore.—Ultimate RB has been awarded manufacturer of the year honors by the McMinnville Economic Development Partnership.
A division of Accella Performance Materials, Ultimate RB received the award for its strong local history, impactful growth and a deep care for employees, the community and the environment, a spokesman said.
The annual award is given to a manufacturer who has contributed to economic growth and established a positive company outlook, he said.
For more than 30 years, Ultimate RB, a manufacturer of recycled rubber goods, has been making matting products out of recycled tires. In 1995, the company said, it developed the molding process to produce playground safety tiles. The firm purchased its present plant in 1998 and was acquired in 1999 by Dash Multi-Corp.
In late 2012, Arsenal Capital Partners bought Dash Multi-Corp., and it became Accella Performance Materials, based in St. Louis, Mo.
Ultimate RB recycles about 15,000 tires a day, diverting them from landfills and using them to be turned into rubber matting and flooring products.
“We are proud to be recognized for our innovation, sustainability and continued focus on safety as manufacturer of the year,” said Scott Snider, vice president of operations at Ultimate RB. “This recognition exemplifies our emphasis on employing great people and working on continuously improving and growing.”
