DUESSELDORF, Germany—Nynas Naphthenics is highlighting its capabilities in development, production and supply of specialty naphthenic oil and bitumen products for the global plastics and rubber markets.

The Swedish company has an international team of technical experts in the fields of adhesives, tires and rubber, at K2016, the Duesseldorf trade show.

K is a key event to reach out to its global, regional and local customers, according to Herbert Fruhmann, market manager TYR, Nynas Naphthenics

“With our experts and in-house application laboratories, we're able to generate value beyond the oil, being a partner in development and able to provide solutions for our customers,”  Fruhmann said in a news release.

In the tire industry, Nynas' products support the global trend toward reduced rolling resistance, better fuel economy and enhanced winter tire performance, said Markus Hoffmann, technical manager TYR.

“When it comes to rubber and TPE,” he said in the release, “our products feature state-of-the-art production technologies for virtually all types of elastomers and adhesives, which can adapt and generate high polymer compatibility through different degrees of refining.”

Among the new products in show is the Nyflex 3100 series, a replacement for group I oils—developed to replace this category 1:1 products.
