LANSING, Mich.—John Mohl Sr. of Maplan USA and Ed Norton of Alpha Technologies will serve as the presenters at the Michigan Rubber Group's technical meeting, to be held Nov. 2 at Michigan State University's University Club in Lansing.
The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m.
Mohl will discuss the process of monitoring and optimizing cure in injection molding systems, while Norton will discuss the types of testing equipment used to monitor and validate cure during the entire compounding through production process.
Mohl will also deliver the keynote address, entitled, “The Michigan Rubber Group, The ACS Rubber Division and Opportunities Ahead.”
The meeting originally featured an all-day “Cure Chemistry for Rubber” course presented by the ACS Rubber Division, but this class has been cancelled.
Immediately following the conclusion of the keynote speech, there will be a period set aside for socializing and networking, followed by dinner at approximately 6:45 p.m.
The Michigan Rubber will hold a board meeting at 3 p.m. prior to the technical meeting.
Cost of the technical meeting is $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Reservations and dietary issues should be made no later than Oct. 28 with Chuck Lenk ([email protected]).
The group is also seeking sponsors for the networking and social hour.
