TOKYO—Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. has promoted Masataka Yamaishi, head of corporate planning, to president of its tire business unit. He will succeed Hikomitsu Noji, who has held that post since April 2011.
Yokohama did not elaborate on the reasons for the change.
Since March 31, Yamaishi has been head of corporate planning division and head of tire business planning division. He's served as president of Yokohama Motorsports International since March 2015.
Yamaishi retains the corporate planning and motorsports positions and continues as a member of the board.
Noji, 57, continues as president of YRC and will remain a member of the board.
Yokohama also promoted Tadaharu Yamamoto to head of tire business planning division, succeeding Yamaishi, and Shuichi Tsukada to head of corporate social responsibility division.
