CASSOPOLIS, Mich.—Ken Kemerer has joined the ICM Silicones Group as vice president of global operations.
He joins ICM after a 20 year career with Wacker Chemical Corp., most recently serving as business team leader for its Construction Chemicals business. Previously, he held various operations management positions within their Elastomer's group in Adrian, Mich., before moving over to the business side as general manager of Silmix, Ohio, in 2009.
At ICM, Kemerer's primary responsibility is for ICM Products which produces silicone fluids, emulsions and gels. In addition, with ICM's purchase of the Amber Chemical Group in 2014 his responsibilities include group management of the QSI facility in Richmond, Va., the ACC facilities in England, Italy, and China which all produce a mixture of silicone elastomers and emulsions.
The firm said that Kemerer's extensive operations and business experience within the silicone industry are instrumental in the further growth and globalization of the ICM Silicones Group.
