BRISTOL, Tenn.—U.S. Air Force Wings of Blue Skydive Unit cadets skydived from the Goodyear Blimp onto Bristol Motor Speedway to deliver the game ball for college football's Battle at Bristol on Sept. 10.
The game between Tennessee and Virginia Tech was the first played inside a NASCAR race track, setting an attendance record at nearly 157,000 people. Goodyear said the Goodyear Blimp has been broadcasting aerial coverage of college football games for more than 60 years.
Dale Earnhardt Jr., a Goodyear ambassador, also joined the ESPN College GameDay crew earlier in the day.
