COLOMBES, France—Arkema S.A. has named Vincent Legros Bostik S.A.'s new chairman and CEO.
Legros comes to Bostik after a lengthy career with Saint-Gobain S.A., most recently serving as deputy managing director of Saint-Gobain Point-a-Mousson and director of the group's pipe business, posts he's held since 2013. He joined the French glass maker in 1998 as a production engineer at the Pont-a-Mousson plant and since held various roles in his nearly 18-year career with the firm.
Furthermore, Arkema is splitting its High Performance Materials segment into three units following the departure of Bernard Pinatel, the former chairman and CEO of Bostik who was appointed head of the segment and managing director of Bostik following Arkema's acquisition of the company in 2014.
Bostik will act as an independent unit while the Technical Polymers and Performance Additives units will be overseen by newly appointed Executive Vice President Christophe Andre. The two units focus on filtration, organic peroxides and photocure resins.
All three units will remain under the High Performance Materials umbrella.
Arkema operates two other segments—Industrial Specialties and Coating Solutions—still to be overseen by Executive Vice President Marc Schuller.
Based in Colombes, Arkema employs about 19,000 with operations in nearly 50 countries.
