OFFENBACH, Germany—Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. has begun supplying Falken Zenis FK453CC high-performance tires and Ziex ZE914A Ecorun tires as OE fitments for the SEAT Ateca CUV.
The vehicle, which debuted at the 2016 Geneva International Motor Show and is not sold in North America, will be offered with the FK453CC in size 215/50R18 92W and the ZE914A in size 225/55R17 97W, according to Sumitomo.
The company said both tires are designed to provide good handling stability, refined riding comfort and a quiet driving performance.
SEAT is a Volkswagen A.G. brand, produced in Spain.
Offenbach-based Falken Tyre Europe is responsible for supplying Seat with the tires, which are made at a Sumitomo plant in Thailand.
