EAST LANSING, Mich.—Marc Vanderlage, regional sales engineer for Desma USA Inc., and Chris Ryan, technical sales manager for ChemSpec Ltd., will be the featured speakers at the Michigan Rubber Group's next technical meeting.
The event will be held Wednesday, Sept. 7, at the Bavarian Inn, located at 713 South Main St. in Frankenmuth, Mich.
Vanderlage will discuss Industry 4.0 and SmartConnect 4.U, a new age manufacturing system where intelligent Cyber Physical Systems can make production decisions and modifications on the fly based on information and data collected on the factory floor.
Ryan's talk is called "Unique Compounding Ingredients: An Overview." ChemSpec is a management-owned, specialty chemical distribution company. A majority of its customers work in the North American rubber, adhesive/sealant, ink, and cosmetic production industries and it seeks business in other market segments with a line of chemical additives and specialty polymers.
Cost is $35 in advance and $40 at the door. The presentations will begin at 5 p.m., with refreshments at 6 and the world famous all-you-can-eat family style chicken dinner starting at 6:45.
