ZWONITZ, Germany—Raumedic A.G. celebrated the 20th anniversary at its medical engineering facility in Zwonitz on July 1.
The firm said the facility has grown from just three engineers and a three-person production team in 1996 to a 26-employee operation that develops and produces high-precision pressure management systems, primarily for neurosurgery applications.
Raumedic hosted local officials on a tour of the facility, which produces the firm's Neurovent intracranial pressure probe. It added that Raumedic is the market leader in German clinics and its catheters produced in Zwonitz are used in other regions of the globe, including the U.S., Australia and Brazil.
The firm about 680 globally with three facilities in Germany and recently opened its first manufacturing site in the U.S. Raumedic focuses solely on the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, offering thermoplastic and silicone tubing, tubing sets, molded components and up to fully assembled medical and pharmaceutical devices.
